The final approach depends on how clearly the scope can be defined and how much flexibility the project requires.

Daily consultancy rate

Suitable for discovery, advice, audits, workshops, stakeholder support or evolving requirements where the exact output cannot yet be fixed.

Fixed project fee

Suitable when deliverables, review rounds, responsibilities, assumptions and acceptance criteria can be agreed before work begins.

Retained project support

Suitable for an ongoing pipeline of learning work, regular design support, governance, coaching, accessibility review or continuous improvement.

3. Additional production requirements

Enhanced accessibility support Accessibility planning, captions or transcripts, keyboard review, contrast and structured QA. Custom multimedia or animation Additional visual production, edited video, animation, audio preparation or custom graphics. Software simulation or advanced branching Guided practice, try-me or test-me simulation, complex variables or decision-based pathways. LMS packaging, upload and technical testing SCORM or xAPI packaging, platform testing, upload support and final publication checks. Facilitator or implementation resources Facilitator guide, learner workbook, communication materials, launch support or train-the-trainer resources.

• Design and development effort increases with each output; strategy and technology work scale more gradually.
• A modest efficiency adjustment is applied when several TS4 services are commissioned as one integrated project.
• Elapsed time includes an allowance for formal client reviews. Delayed feedback or unavailable content may extend the schedule.
• External licences, specialist suppliers, travel, hosting and other third-party costs are excluded unless entered above.
• VAT and any applicable taxes are not calculated. These would be confirmed in the formal proposal.
